RED SOX POSTCAST: Bats Beat Up on Twins & Bello Turns in Solid Outing

The Red Sox (59-51) clinched the series win over the Twins with an 13-1 win in the series finale Wednesday afternoon at Target Field in Minneapolis. The Sox have won 9 series this season after losing the series opener. Boston's won 5 of 7 and matches its high-water mark going 8 games above .500. The Sox have won 6 of their last 8 series.    -----  Bello on the Bump: Brayan Bello recorded his 7th win this season with 7 Innings of 1-run baseball Wednesday afternoon.  Bello has turned in quality starts in 9 of his last 10 outings.  Bello allowed a solo Home Run to Matt Wallner in the 2nd and that was the only run he allowed on the afternoon.  Bello has allowed 12 Home Runs this season and 8 have come with no one on base. He walked 4 and struck out 4 and retired the leadoff hitter in 6 of his 7 innings.  ----- Sox at the Dish: Trevor Story got the Sox on the board first with a Home Run to lead off the 2nd Inning. Sox went in front for good in the 3rd Inning. Connor Wong led off with a Double and scored on a Sac-Fly from Abraham Toro. The Red Sox added 4 more runs in the 5th on 2-run Singles from Jarren Duran and Masa Yoshida. Duran made it 8-1 with a 2-run Home Run in the 6th. It was Duran's 11th Home Run of the season and 2nd of the series.  Duran and Roman Anthony both extended their current hit streaks. Duran's hit safely in 6 in a row. Anthony's hit in 5 straight games. Romy Gonzalez hit a 3-run Home Run and Masa Yoshida followed with a Home Run in the 9th, both off Kody Clemens.     ----#'s of the DAY:       Jarren Duran collected 3 hits and knocked in 4 runs in the series finale. Duran led off the 9th with a Double and it's his 9th game this season with multiple extra-base hits. He had 17 games with multiple extra-base hits last season. Duran now has 52 extra-base hits (29-12-11).The Sox went 12-0 when scoring 5 or more runs in the month of July. The Red Sox went 17-7 in the month of July.    It was Story's 17th Home Run of the season and 11th on the road. The Sox are now 16-1 when Story goes yard. He's homered in back-to-back games after not homering in 15 straight games.   The Red Sox collected 8 more extra-base hits (4 Doubles & 4 Home Runs) in Wednesday's win and now have (123) Extra-Base Hits over their last (27) Games.       With the Red Sox scoring first it's just the 4th time they've gotten on the board first in their last 12 games.The Red Sox have won the series finale in each of their first 4 series since the All-Star Break.
