The Red Sox (65-54) dropped a 6-2 decision in the rubber game of their 3-game series against the Padres at Petco Park Sunday afternoon.  The loss snaps the Red Sox streak of winning 4 consecutive series. The Sox never led at any point and have now lost 3 of 4 after winning 7 in a row. -----Bello on the Bump: Brayan Bello made the start in the series finale Sunday and took the loss. Bello gave up 5 earned runs in the start over 5.2 Innings. Bello exited with 2 outs and the bases loaded in the 6th Inning. He walked 3, hit a batter and struck out 7. All 5 runs scored against Bello came with 2 outs in the Inning. Entering Sunday, Bello had a .189 Batting Average Again with Runners in Scoring Position.  The Padres went 3-for-5 with RISP against Bellon on Sunday. From the Red Sox Game Notes: Bello has now faced 28 clubs with his first career outing against the Padres on Sunday and the Phillies are the only Big League team that he has not faced.    ----- Sox at the Dish: The Red Sox were shut down over the first 6 Innings by Dylan Cease. The Padres starter allowed 3 Singles & 1 Walk and did not allow a runner to reach 2nd-Base over his first 6 Innings. Wilyer Abreu reached with a leadoff Single in the 3rd and was erased on a Double Play. Roman Anthony walked to start the 4th and Cease came back to strike out the next 3 hitters. Anthony had a 1-out Single in the 6th and was erased on an inning-ending Double Play off the bat of Alex Bregman.  The Sox chased Cease from the Game in the 7th and scored 2 runs after he was removed. Boston had the bases full and nobody out, but Jason Adam and Adrian Morejon combined to strike out 3 hitters to leave the bases loaded. -----At-Bat of the Game: After scoring 2 runs in the 7th, the Sox had the bases loaded with nobody out but did not score again. Ceddanne Rafaela, Abraham Toro and Roman Anthony all struck out.    -----#'s of the DAY:   --Trevor Story went 1-for-11 with 6 strikeouts in the Series.  --The Sox have now lost 3 series since the all-star break and all 3 have come on the road.--The Red Sox are 23-15 in the series final on the season and 5-2 in the series finale since the All-Star Break.   --After striking out 15 times in Saturday night's loss, including 13 times from the 5th Inning on, the Red Sox struck out 13 times on Sunday.   --The Red Sox were held to 5 hits (all Singles) and their streak of at least 1 extra-hit in 36 straight games came to an end.  -----What's On Tap?: The Red Sox move on to Houston and open up a 3-game series against the Astros Monday night.
