The Red Sox (35-36) opened up their 3-game series against the Yankees with a 2-1, 10-Inning victory in front of a sellout crowd of 36,622 Friday night at Fenway Park. Carlos Narvaez ended it with a 2-out RBI Single in the Home 10th.  It's the 7th walk-off win this season for the Sox.  Boston's won 3 in a row for the 1st time since late April, 5 of 6 and 6 of 8.  -----Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet made his 2nd straight start against the Yankees in Friday night's opener. It was his best start of the season for the Red Sox.  Crochet took a 1-0 lead to the top of the 9th Inning. He retired the leadoff hitter Ben Rice on a groundout.  He then gave up a game-tying Home Run to Aaron Judge on a 3-2 pitch that was a 99 mile-an-hour fastball.  Crochet had struck out Judge 3 times on the night and in all 6 at-bats this season before giving up the homer. Crochet gave way to Aroldis Chapman and ended up with a no-decision.  Crochet is now winless in 7 starts at Fenway this season. It' the 9th time this season where Crochet allowed 0 or 1 runs in a start.  -----Sox At The Dish: The Red Sox got on the board 1st on Ceddanne Rafaela's 2-out, RBI Single in the 2nd Inning against Ryan Yarbrough. The Sox went 2-for-9 with runners in scoring position and left the bases loaded in the Bottom of the 8th. Abraham Toro went 0-for-4 in the loss.   -----#'s of the Night:  The Sox are now 22-9 when scoring 1st.  Boston improves to 5-8 in extra-innings overall and 5-3 at Fenway.  Sox are now 8-17 in 1-run games.  -----Adding to the Pen: The Red Sox pulled off a trade with the Twins on Wednesday, acquiring reliever Jorge Alcala in exchange for minor league infielder Andy Lugo.  Lugo was playing for Advanced-A Greenville this season. Alcala, 29, has pitched in relief throughout his 7 seasons in the Big Leagues, all with the Twins.  Brian Van Belle was designated for assignment after he was added to both the 40-man and active rosters on Tuesday.-----What's On Tap?: The Yankees and Red Sox continue their weekend series Saturday night at Fenway Park.  The Yankees are expected to start Carlos Rodon and he's set to oppose Hunter Dobbins.  Brayan Bello and Max Fried are expected to be the starting pitchers for Sunday's finale.  The Sox are 4-2 during their current stretch of playing 9 straight games against AL East clubs.
