RED SOX POSTCAST- Garrett Crochet Delivers Like An Ace & Red Sox End Losing Skid

The Red Sox ended a 4-game losing streak with a 3-0 shutout win over the Baltimore Orioles Wednesday night at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD. Garrett Crochet and Aroldis Chapman combined on the Red Sox 1st shutout win of the season. Trevor Story got the Red Sox on the board 1st with a solo Home Run in the 2nd Inning off of Zach Eflin. The Red Sox 10 hits on the night. Rookie Kristian Campbell collected a pair of Doubles and he's hit safely in 5 of his 1st 6 Games.  -----Garrett Crochet = ACE!: Garrett Crochet pitching for the 1st time since agreeing to his new contract extension with the Red Sox was outstanding Wednesday night. Crochet worked 8 scoreless innings. He gave up 4 singles, walked 1 and struck out 8.  Crochet gave up a leadoff single in the Bottom of the 8th but got an inning-ending double play to finish up his night.  Chapman gave up a walk but managed a scoreless 9th to preserve the shutout.-----Devers Update: Rafael Devers was retired in his 1st 2 at-bats of the night but broke an 0-for-21 to start the season with a 2-out, RBI Double in the 5th to give the Red Sox a 3-0 lead.  Devers with his 1st hit & extra-base hit of the season & his 2nd RBI. Devers also reached with a single in the Top of the 8th.    -----What's On Tap?: The Red Sox conclude their 7-Game Road Trip to open the season on Thursday afternoon at Camden Yards.  Thursday's Probable Starters: Tanner Houck vs. Charlie Morton.
