RED SOX POSTCAST- Red Sox Bats Silent On Crochet Day

The Red Sox dropped their 2nd straight with a sloppy 6-1 loss to the Toronto Blue Jays on a frigid night at Fenway Tuesday night. Garrett Crochet was tagged with the loss in his Fenway debut.  George Springer homered in the win for the Blue Jays, who have won the 1st 2 games of the 4-Game Series.  Eason Lucas struck out 8 over 5.1 scoreless innings in picking up the victory.   -----Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet made his 1st start of the season at Fenway on Tuesday night and the Sox fell for the 1st time in Crochet's 1st 3 outings. The game was scoreless until the 6th Inning and George Springer got the Jays on the board 1st with a solo Home Run.  Toronto would add 3 more runs in the inning, all with 2 outs. Crochet would be charged with 4 earns but just 1 earned as Alex Bregman and Kristian Campbell both committed errors in the 6th Inning. Crochet worked out of bases load jam in the 1st Inning by striking out Brian Schneider on a 3-2 pitch. #35's Final Line- 5.2 IP. 5 Hits. 4 R. 1 ER. 4 BB. 5 K. 1 HR allowed.-----Red Sox Make A Trade: The Red Sox traded Pitcher Quinn Priester to the Milwaukee Brewers for minor league outfielder Yophery Rodriguez, a competitive balance pick (#33) in the 2025 MLB Draft and a player to be named later or cash considerations on Monday. Rodriguez was touted as the 7th-best prospect in the Brewers system according to MLB Pipeline. He’s 19 and started this season off at the Advanced-A Level. Priester was acquired from the Pirates last July for infielder Nick Yorke. Priester made his MLB debut on the final day of the 2024 Regular Season, and he earned the win vs. the Tampa Bay Rays.       ----- What's On Tap?: The Sox & Blue Jays play the 3rd game of their 4-game series Wednesday night at Fenway Park.
