RED SOX POSTCAST- Red Sox End Road Trip with another walk-off loss to Tigers.

The Red Sox were walked off for the 2nd straight night and the Tigers completed the series sweep with a 6-5 win in the series finale Wednesday night at Comerica Park.  Justin-Henry Malloy knocked in the game-winning run with a 2-out single in the bottom of the 9th to end it against losing pitcher Aroldis Chapman.  With the loss in the finale, the Red Sox were swept in a series for the 1st time this season. The last time the Red Sox were swept in a series was a road series against the Mets last September. The Red Sox went 2-4 on the road trip thru Kansas City and Detroit.-----Dobbins In The Finale- Hunter Dobbins ended up with a no-decision in Wednesday's series finale. Dobbins battled during his outing and left without recording an out in the 6th.  Riley Greene touched him up for a 2-run Home Run in the 6th and he departed with the Red Sox down 4-2. The Tigers added one more run in the inning against Justin Wilson, but the run was charged to Dobbins.    -----#'s of the NIGHT: The Red Sox got on the board 1st with Rob Refsnyder plating Rafael Devers with a Sacrifice Fly in the 1st-Inning. Red Sox had gone 10 straight games without scoring in the 1st-Inning. The Red Sox now have an MLB-worst 12 1-run losses. 10 of Last 12 losses have been by 3 runs or less...8 of their last 11 losses have been decided by just 1 run.  9 of Last 14 Games decided by 1 Run or 2 Runs.   -----What's On Tap?: After Thursday's scheduled off day, the Red Sox are back at Fenway for a 10-game homestand against the Braves, Mets and Orioles. The series with the Braves gets underway Friday night with former Red Sox pitcher Chris Sale slated to face Garrett Crochet.
