RED SOX POSTCAST: Red Sox Take Game 1 in the Bronx; Roman Anthony Goes Yard

The Red Sox (69-59) got their 8-game road trip off on the right foot with Thursday's night's 6-3 victory over the Yankees at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. The win snapped the Red Sox 3-game losing streak and ended the Yankees 5-game win streak. Roman Anthony extended the Red Sox lead with a huge 2-out, 2-run Home Run in the Top of the 9th and Aroldis Chapman retired the side 1-2-3 in the Bottom of the 9th.   -----Sox at the Dish: Roman Anthony tied the game at 3-3 on an RBI Single in the 6th Inning. The Sox went back in front in the 7th with Trevor Story reaching with a leadoff Single and he scored from 1st on an RBI Double from Nathaniel Lowe. The Sox would load the bases with 1 out, but Carlos Narvaez and Roman Anthony both struck out to end the Innings. Roman Anthony hit his first Yankee Stadium Home Run in the 9th with a 2-out, 2-run shot providing some insurance.    -----Going with Gio: Lucas Giolito made his 20th start of the season and his 1st this season against the Yankees in the series opener Thursday night in the Bronx. Giolito failed to get out of the 5th Inning and ended up with a no-decision. The right-hander went 4.2 Innings and gave up 3 earned runs on 5 hits. He walked 3, struck out 4 and allowed a solo Home Run to Ben Rice.  With the comeback win, the Red Sox are now 5-1 in his previous 6 starts.-----#'s of the Night:      --The Sox are now 6-1 this season against the Yankees. --After going 0-for-13 with RISP and stranding 13 Runners on Base in Tuesday's loss to the Orioles, the Sox went 3-for-19 with Runners in Scoring Position (14 LOB).   -----What's On Tap?: The Red Sox and Yankees continue their 4-game series in the Bronx Friday night with Brayan Bello slated to oppose LHP Max Fried.
