RED SOX POSTCAST: Roman & Jarren Go Deep & Sox Take Opener in Baltimore

The Red Sox (72-60) got back in the win column with a 4-3victory over the Baltimore Orioles in the series opener at Camden Yards Monday night. The Sox are 4-1 on their current 8-game Trip. With Monday's win, the Sox ended a 4-game losing streak against the Orioles.   -----Bernardino & Fitts: Brennan Bernardino was the opener for the Red Sox Monday night, and he struck out 2 in working a scoreless 1st. Richard Fitts entered after Bernardino and gave up 3 earned runs over 4+ Innings. Fitts walked 3, hit a batter and struck out 6. He finished up by retiring the final 7 hitters that he faced. Fitts gave up a game-tying solo Home Run to Colton Cowser in the 2nd Inning. He allowed 4 straight hitters batters to reach in the 3rd Inning and Cowser knocked in a pair of runs with a Single that put the Orioles up, 3-1. Fitts exited with right biceps tightness to his right arm while facing the leadoff hitter in the 6th Inning.-----Sox Impressive Pen: Steve Matz worked 2.0 scoreless innings out of the bullpen and struck out 2. Garrett Whitlock gave up a leadoff Double to Gunnar Henderson in the 8th and came back and struck out the next 3 hitters to work out of the jam. Aroldis Chapman           -----Sox at the Dish: The Sox got on the board 1st with Roman Anthony leading off the game with his 6th Home Run of the season and his 2nd of the Road Trip. Jarren Duran put the Sox in front, 4-3, with a 3-run Home Run in the 5th. It was Duran's 13th of the season, 3rd 3-run blast and 19th career go-ahead Home Run.The Sox had the leadoff man reach 4 times and also went 1-for-7 with RISP. -----#'s of the Night: --Anthony's leadoff Home Run was the 6th Home Run to lead off a game for the Red Sox this season. Duran has 4 and Romy Gonzalez has the other. Anthony is    the youngest player in club history with a leadoff Home Run--It's the 42nd time this season where the Red Sox hit 2 or more Home Runs in a game (32-9----UPDATE).       --Fitts has given up 11 Home Runs on the season, 9 of the 11 have come with no one on base and 8 of the 11 have come on the road.   -----What's On Tap?: The Red Sox and Orioles continue their series Tuesday night at Camden Yards.
