The Red Sox (65-53) could not complete the comeback in the late innings and ended up falling, 5-4 in 10 Innings, to the San Diego Padres Saturday night in front of 42,389 at Petco Park. The Series is even at 1-1 with the finale on Sunday.  The Sox are now 7-11 in extra-innings this season and 1-8 on the road. It's the 11th time this season where the Red Sox got walked off on the road.     ----- Going with Gio: After back-to-back strong outings against the Twins and Astros, Lucas Giolito failed to get out of the 5th against the Padres Saturday night.  Giolito exited after walking 4 straight hitters with 2 outs. The 4th walk of the inning put the Padres up, 4-3. Giolito went 4.2 innings and gave up 4 earned runs on 5 hits. He walked 6 and struck out 1. Xander Bogaerts touched Giolito up for a solo Home Run in the 2nd and that tied the game at 1-1. Bogaerts also had an RBI Single in the 3rd. Giolito was taken off the hook when the Red Sox tied the game in the 9th Inning.       ----- Sox at the Dish: Red Sox got on the board against Michael King in the 1st Inning. Alex Bregman reached with a 1-out Double and scored on an RBI Single from Jarren Duran. Boston got 2 runs in the 3rd and went up 3-1. San Diego relievers combined to record 8 straight outs with 8 strikeouts from innings 5 thru 7. Alex Bregman reached 4 times in the game with 3 Hits (2 Doubles) and a walk. Ramon Anthoy tied the game at 4-4 with a run-scoring Double in the 9th inning off Padres closer Robert Suarez.           -----At-Bat of the Game: David Hamilton led off the 10th with Trevor Story starting at 2nd Base.
