RED SOX POSTCAST: Sox Wait Out Rain & Get Walked Off in the 9th by Twins

The Red Sox (57-51) dropped a 5-4 decision to the Minnesota Twins Monday night in the series opener at Target Field.  The Sox have lost the series opener in each of the first 4 series out of the All-Star Break.  Brooks Lee ended the game with a 2-run Single in the Bottom of the 9th Inning off of Jordan Hicks.  The game was delayed for 90 minutes prior to the bottom of the 9th getting underway.  Jordan Hicks loaded up the bases in the bottom of the 9th with a single and 2 hit batters and then gave up the game-winning hit with 1 out.    -----  Giving 'Em Fitts: Richard Fitts made the start in the opener against the Twins at Target Field Monday night. Fitts gave up a 2-run Home Run to DaShawn Keirsey Jr.  it was his 2nd Home Run of the season. Fitts got 2 groundball double plays over his 4 innings. He allowed 2 earned runs on 4 hits, but he also walked 3 and struck out 2 in his outing. Fitts ended up with a no-decision.   ----- Sox at the Dish: The Sox took their first lead of the game in the 5th in Alex Bregman's 3-run Home Run. It's Bregman's 2nd Home Run in 2 games and 14th on the season. The Sox were 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position thru the first 8 innings. Abraham Toro reached with a leadoff walk in the 9th. David Hamilton entered as a pinch runner, stole 2nd and stole 3rd.  Roman Anthony put the Sox on top with an RBI Single. Wilyer Abreu had a 3-hit game. Trevor Story went 0-for-4 with 2 strikeouts. He was 0-for-3 with RISP.
