Red Wings Trade Prospect for Draft Pick
from Detroit Red Wings News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Detroit Red Wings make a quiet, puzzling trade, sending young forward Amadeus Lombardi to the New Jersey Devils for a fourth-round draft pick — a move fans are scratching their heads over, especially since Lombardi, a 23-year-old AHL standout with 16 goals and 42 points last season, could’ve been a future asset. The Devils are giving him a real shot at the NHL roster, while Detroit adds draft capital hoping for long-term returns — a low-key move in an otherwise high-stakes offseason.
