Redemption means to buy back, like a nearest relative with authority to restore family property. The Hebrew words for exile (Golah) and redemption (Geulah) differ by only one letter, showing how close we are to God’s restoration. The Aleph in redemption represents God’s two hands working together – His Word and His Spirit.
