Redeemed by the Precious Blood of Christ: 1 Peter 1:17-21: Day 5

We were redeemed not by anything temporary or valuable in this world, but by the precious blood of Christ.Peter reminds believers that they were not redeemed with temporary things like silver or gold. They were rescued from an empty way of life by the precious blood of Christ. Jesus was not God's backup plan. He was chosen before the foundation of the world and revealed for our sake. Our faith and hope are ultimately in God because Jesus died and rose again. The gospel reminds us that our salvation was not cheap.
