Redefining Quantity Surveying for the Next Generation with Dylan Pritchard

In this episode of the Blueprints to Buildings podcast, host Glen Palmer sits down with Dylan Pritchard of Ward Williams Associates to explore how the role of the quantity surveyor is misunderstood and why early QS involvement is critical to delivering value, certainty, and viable projects. Dylan shares how technology, visual tools, and better communication can help QSs move beyond being seen as “naysayers” to becoming true “cost crusaders” who support smarter decisions around risk, cost, and carbon. He also talks passionately about inspiring the next generation through apprenticeships, practical experience, and two-way mentorship between tech-savvy juniors and seasoned industry leaders.
