Redefining Your Anxiety

from Daughters of Change · host Marie Sola

Daughter of Change, Sarah Stacey, is personally redefining what it means to have anxiety. To quote Sarah, "I have anxiety, I am not anxiety".  Sarah is sharing her story in the hopes of helping others realize that anxiety is not one-dimensional. It's something that you have, it does not define who you are. This is also an epic day on the Daughters of Change Podcast because Sarah is our very own podcast editor.  I’m very happy to have the opportunity to interview Sarah. She is an integral part of Daughters of Change, and a dream to work with.  I know you’ll be as amazed by her as I am.Sarah has been battling anxiety almost her entire life and finally sought help at age 29 when the COVID pandemic brought everything sharply into focus. I learned about this when she wrote a beautiful, heartfelt article earlier this year and asked her if she would work with me on a podcast about the topic. I’m in awe of Sarah in many ways and her willingness to discuss her journey is just one of them. Anxiety is something that impacts many people.  We hope this discussion is helpful whether you deal with anxiety yourself or know someone who does. We Discuss (Among Other Things):Sarah's lifelong relationship with anxietyHow and when her anxiety became physicalWhen and why she decided to do something about itHow she went about itHelpful techniques she uses when feeling anxiousThe powerful insights she's uncovered along the way Links Mentioned:Sarah’s LinkedIn ProfileSarah's Instagram - @sarahs192Sarah's TwitterAwareMindLinks to Sarah's Work:Lennon: 40 Years OnMaurice Gibb: The Bee Gees' "Man in the Middle"Get Back - Beatles review (Arena - RTE Radio 1)Links to Books:The Comfort Book – Matt HaigNotes on a Nervous Planet – Matt HaigReasons To Stay Alive – Matt HaigThe Anxiety Toolkit – Alice BoyesFollow Daughters of Change:Website:Facebook:InstagramLinkedInMarie's LinkedIn:Daughters of Change Podcast Editor:  Sarah StaceySarah's LinkedIn Profile
