Principle: God confronts our "functional saviors" (idols we trust instead of Him) to reveal Himself as the only true God. He never saves us without revealing Himself.Sin as a Worship Disorder: When we sin (turn to idols), it's not just bad behavior; it's accusing God of not being good or sufficient. We can't just "try harder" to stop sinning; we must worship our way out by turning back to God, trusting He satisfies.The Passover Lamb (Ex 12): The final plague targeted Egypt's chief "god" – Pharaoh and the firstborn heir. God provided Israel protection: sacrifice a perfect lamb, apply its blood to the doorposts. Death "passed over" homes covered by blood. Key Truth: An innocent substitute died so they could live.Jesus: The True Lamb & Deliverer: God sent Jesus, a better Moses (sinless). John the Baptist declared Him the "Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world" (Jn 1:29). His blood, shed on the cross, is our Passover.
