Rediscovering the Jordan River | Salt Lake City News

The Jordan River, long ignored or dismissed as a mess, is getting a makeover—thanks to the Get To The River Festival this September. Designed to draw crowds back to its banks, the event flips the script: no longer just a drainage ditch, but a vibrant hub for recreation, nature, and community. It’s not just a one-day splash—it’s the spark for lasting cleanup and appreciation, inviting Utahns to rediscover their river in all its potential.
