The Cincinnati Reds closed out their home slate in style Thursday afternoon, beating the Pittsburgh Pirates in dramatic fashion. Noelvi Marte stole the show in the ninth inning with a highlight-reel catch, robbing Bryan Reynolds of what would have been the game-tying home run, while also driving in one of the Reds’ two runs earlier in the fifth. Nick Lodolo was dominant, striking out 12 over 6 1/3 shutout innings before exiting with a groin injury, and the bullpen held strong to preserve the win.
