The Cincinnati Reds defeated the Minnesota Twins 4-2 on Wednesday night at Great American Ball Park, despite a two-hour rain delay and a rain-shortened game that lasted just 5 1/2 innings. Nick Lodolo turned in a strong outing, pitching six innings and allowing only two runs. Spencer Steer led the offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run and a double, while Matt McLain and Will Benson chipped in with key hits. The win marks the Reds’ fourth straight victory and their fifth consecutive series win.
