Reel Commentary: Episode 04 – Batman & Robin Part 1

from Reel Chronicles

This week, David, Luis, and Gaius explore the great and terrible of Batman and Robin in a special two-part commentary episode of Reel Chronicles. Part 2 premieres Wednesday, April 5th. Batman & Robin released on June 20, 1997 and was the fourth and final installment of Warner Bros. initial Batman series. Directed by Joel Schumacher and written by Akiva Goldsman, Batman & Robin stars George Clooney, Chris O’Donnell, Alicia Silverstone, Uma Thurman, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Following Batman Forever, Warner Bros. sped up development following Forever‘s box office success. While it performed modestly at the box office, making $238.2 million worldwide against a production budget of $125 million, the film was a critical failure. It became a campy cult classic and was one of the lowest grossing live-action Batman movies to date. Like what you hear?
