Reform UK's £72m donation

from Talk Breakfast

Reform UK has received two mega cash injections, which it believes will put it in prime position to effectively fight in a general election. This news has caused furrowed eyebrows in the Labour Party, with a question over whether legislation will be brought in to cap donations and applied retrospectively. Some are saying this would be an attempt to take Reform UK out of the race, and the equivalent of hysterical hypocrisy, considering Labour receives donations from Trade Unions with the expectation of something in return. Talk presenter Ian Collins speaks to: Former Conservative special advisor Charlie Rowley, chairman of the Great British PAC Ben Habib, shadow secretary of state for defence James Cartlidge, Talk's international editor Isabel Oakeshott, Reform UK deputy leader Richard Tice, and social policy analyst Dr Rakib Ehsan.
