At the time of Reformation in the 16th Century, it's leaders protested what they saw as the distortion of the faith through the misuse of authority by the hierarchy of Roman Catholic Church. They agreed with the Protestant Reformation. Sola Fide: By faith alone Soli Deo Gloria: Glory to God alone.
