Regarding Scripture: What is the Purpose of the Bible?

Last week we launched our new series on the Bible asking the question: Why should we read the Bible? This week we are following up with a similar, but vital question: What is the purpose of the Bible? If we want to utilize the Bible in the way God intended, then we need to understand what its intention is. Unfortunately, the Bible has at times been misused and abused throughout church history. Much of this can be traced back to a misunderstanding of the purpose of the Scriptures. So, let's ask together: What is the intended purpose of the Bible?
