Regeneration Precedes Faith

After finishing Galatians last week Marcuss mentioned we may take a look at Soteriology which is the doctrine of salvation.  Most people don't even want to deal with doctrine.  You mention doctrine or theology and a lot of people just shut down.  But to understand more about God and things like salvation, one needs only to grab the bible to take a look and start seeing what God has to say about it.  The biblical point he'd like to make this morning is that regeneration precedes faith.  Because within evangelical churches, there is an ongoing debate on the issue of salvation. Is it by a choice of man's free will or of God's sovereign choice?
