Regine Jackson

Regine Jackson is a Springfield-born writer and poet now based in Northampton, Massachusetts. Raised in a home filled with books through her mother’s work in Springfield’s libraries, she developed an early love of reading across science fiction, fantasy, horror, and graphic novels.Regine writes across speculative and fantastical genres, alongside poetry and prose shaped by inner-city life, memory, identity, spiritual inquiry, and transformation. Her work draws from lived experience and the realities of marginalized communities, often tracing the difficult terrain between inherited wounds, the search for selfhood, and the possibility of becoming.She is the founder of The Flimsy Quill, a literary initiative dedicated to empowering writers through workshops, literary events, and creative mentorship. In 2022, Regine was awarded the Straw Dog Writers Guild Emerging Writer Fellowship, and in 2025 she became a Board Advisor for Straw Dog Writers Guild. Her work has appeared in Meat for Tea, Thimble Literary Magazine, the 2024 Massachusetts Bards Anthology, Pán•o•ply: Inaugural MultiCreative Anthology, Gnashing Teeth Publishing, Red Rose Thorns Lit Mag, A Queen’s Narrative: Heavy is the Crown Anthology, the 2025 Reimagining New England Histories Project, B’K Lit Mag, and 50-Word Stories.
