Reinstated

This last Sunday we had the privilege of hearing from Mariah Fredericks on Jesus’ reinstatement of Peter and what that means for us. Sometimes when we see the glory of God do miraculous things we can be tempted to go back to what we know is safe and familiar out of fear or insecurity. But as we saw with Peter, it is our job as sons and daughters to remember who He is and therefore who we are. From that place we die to lesser ways of thinking and surrender our idea of how we think our lives should go. Sacrifice is no longer what you do but who you are.  May we be a people who joyfully submit to the Holy Spirit’s purification in our lives and see his kingdom break out as a result.
