From the outside, their culpability was not obviously different from the three who carried out the act, and that moral complexity is worth sitting with. Brian Mattocks explores what reintegration actually requires, both internally and in relation to the group, and why the craft's responsibility is to make space for it rather than simply assess blame.The internal component of reintegration starts with distinguishing between systemic responses and genuine desire. The feeling that you have to respond a certain way because the system did something to you is not an interoceptive signal. It is a reaction, and if you let reactions drive you, you have already lost the thread of your own agency.
