It is SO strange that a new parenting trend emerges every 5-10 years. For generations, there was basically just "parenting"...passed down from one generation to another. Multi-generational wisdom, essentially...very Family Teams. But with the disintegration of generational families and the rise of hyper-individualism, parents these days are left to come up with their own methods, focusing a little on this, then a little on that. Not only is it dangerous to use an untested parenting method, MOST of them that come out these days (formerly in books, now often via social media influencers), are extremely secular and certainly not wise (the fear of God being the beginning of wisdom...).
