Rejected California Mail Ballots, The Terminator with Live Ensemble & Jimothy Helps Raise Big Money

California rejected 148,241 mail ballots in its June 2026 primary, the highest total in recent comparable elections. Nearly two-thirds of those rejections resulted from late ballots, and election experts suspect postal-service postmark issues and last-minute voting may be major contributors. The spike has raised concerns despite California's extensive efforts to make voting more accessible.  Fresno-area fans of science fiction and film music will have a chance to experience The Terminator in a unique way on October 10. The movie will be shown on the big screen while a live ensemble performs Brad Fiedel's famous synthesizer-driven soundtrack in real time, creating a concert-and-film experience at the Saroyan Theatre.  A painting of Seattle's viral raccoon Jimothy sold for $6,543.21, but the story didn't end there.
