Rejoice

“But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You.” (Psalm 5:11 NKJV) What’s in a name? Previously, your name would determine your destiny, and what society expected from you would depend on your family’s background. The name of Jesus means ‘Jehovah Saves,’ which implies that you don’t. Receiving Jesus as Christ is receiving Jehovah in action, which means you give up trying to qualify for His life as yours. Which life dies? Your having to think you are your flesh, thoughts, and thoughts about your thoughts. Which life lives? Your soul is attached to Jesus, who has become the life-giving Spirit. “My defense is of God, Who saves the upright in heart.” (Psalm 7:10, NKJV)
