Today's conversation between Chad Kneller, Martevious Young and I is in response to a conversation between Ed Mylett & Erwin McManus about faith, religion, the human condition and how we are called to make change in the world! Here are some of the high points: Humans are the only species that are able to go AGAINST their instincts - we have the ability to CHOOSE. The human condition is a phantom pain of our soul... God created the world in a certain way but sin has changed the world in a way that our soul tends to reject. 7 billion people are alive today and ALL of us tend to ask the question WHY am I here? WHY was I born? God isn't supposed to be studied... he exists to be KNOWN. If the Bible is true with what it says about humanity, then what it says about God is also true. If God is out there, he is doing just fine - I'm the one who is in need from HIM! When you are willing to invite God into all SEVEN days of your life, he wants to be involved in your entire existence! Humans are created in the image of God - we are able to CREATE. We can have an idea and then work toward bringing it to reality! Often, people of faith are too passive. We are called to go out and DO what God tells us to do to move the world toward Christ.
