Relationships & Dating in Midlife with Annie Chung

from WomenKind Collective

This series, we will be spilling the tea on topics that affect our health and well-being from the extra-ordinary women that are raising their voices for positive change. This week we spill the tea on romantic relationships in midlife with our very good friend Annie Chung @my_life_in_lipstick, Annie is a midlife fashion and colour expert who also became single in her 50’s. For the first time menopause is being cited in more divorce cases than ever before and nearly 70% of divorces involving women at his time of life were initiated by the wives so obviously we wanted to chat to find out what it’s really like getting back out there in a conversation where no topic is off limits! Annie chats to us about online dating, what it's like to meet someone in midlife and finding your confidence again. She's got some great tips on dating, dating apps, how menopause does play a role in romantic relationships and what it's like to be single in midlife. In the Book Collective we discuss chapters 13-18 of our book for this series, All Fours by Miranda July. The narrator finds out she is in menopause and starts HRT, she also has a very erotic encounter with Davey’s old lover! We will read chapters 19-25 for our next Book club week. You can join in with our Book Club, send us a DM or voice note with your thoughts on the book. It’s another episode brimming with chat and all the usual sweary shenanigans! There’s comments, a WI (weekly invitation) and a thought for the week. So, go and get the kettle on and settle in for our weekly collective chat while we spill the tea!  If you’ve enjoyed our Podcast you may like to consider buying us a Ko-Fi at https://ko-fi.com/womenkindcollectivepodcastHere you can find updates, photos and some inclusive content we won’t post anywhere else and your donation will help us ensure we continue to bring you great quality of content and sound. You can watch the unedited interview with Annie on our YouTube channel: Womenkind Collective. ☕ SUBSCRIBE for honest chats on women’s health, feminist issues, sisterhood & smashing the patriarchy, one cuppa at a time.💛 Enjoying the podcast?
