How do everyone? I'm Robin and welcome to mouth therapy. This is gonna be the first episode that I kind of plan out I have a structure right here, and I barely practice but I did a little bit so I hope this one goes well and today I want to talk about jealousy and fixing people in relationships whether they're intimate sexual relationships or not so jealousy Right now I'm gonna define and apply it to my own life so To understand jealousy I feel like first we have to set some ground rules of things to be true for jealousy to exist So we have to assume that everyone is born with a void that they try to fill and that Everyone believes in that people believe that that void can be filled by something or someone else to some degree Like for example, I know that most of the void that I feel kind of the whole however you want to call it that we try to fill with video games with books with fiction with movies with with sex with whatever To I know I have to fill most of it up, but on an instinctual level I also know that I'm constantly trying to fill it up with other things So if that is true, then we can talk about jealousy and jealousy again Very basic definition is when you believe that someone or something is either keeping something away from you that you care about or you want Or is threatening to take something from you that you care about or want and so I so you might see someone with a very nice Car and get jealous because you feel like what that represents is money and you want money and you need money and somehow That person is getting in the way of you getting that money So I used to have pretty bad jealousy. It wasn't anything extremely terrible, but it was like it was pretty bad and Most of what I'm talking about right now I kind of found and learned through actualized that or actualized that org with it Which is a youtube channel on the website that I definitely recommend anyone listening would check out He makes very very very long uncut videos though the person who makes the video So you'll be warned but basically what I took from a video of his is That you should try to Focus less on jealousy as something that is externally controlled in more internally controlled So what I mean by that is what I was talking about earlier that jealousy is less about the person or the object That's because that you're focusing the jealousy on and more about you I'm a lot less jealous and I try to be honest with it whenever Whenever I feel jealousy I try to be extremely honest with both myself and the people concerned because I know it's something that piles on in very very Very nasty ways in ways that I can't even observe until it accumulates and blows up So I try to be very honest, but I've noticed that I've gone way better with jealousy And I think why that is is because I focused on trusting myself a lot and I've just worked on self-esteem through mastery of through experience and mastery of some things and I'm nowhere near The level of mastery that I need to be at but what I'm trying to say is I try to be efficient I try to be knowledgeable in some things to kind of gain the self confidence to not have to fear Missing something if that makes any sense.

So I Now I trust myself a lot more and only by first trusting yourself You can can you trust others because if if you don't trust yourself someone can tell you anything You won't be able to truly believe it because you won't trust yourself to truly believe it I don't know any other way to say it, but really I think a way to really get rid of Unnecessary jealousy because jealousy I believe can be good To a certain I think a very small amount of jealousy can be good most jealousy that we feel in data life is is wasteful Not wasteful, but is not necessary at all and so I think the best way to get rid of jealousy is to Work on yourself. It's not to try to chase what you're jealous about Maybe maybe it might be I don't know and these are just opinions. So they might change. I'm 18 I don't fucking know all of this.

I don't even 1% of it, but It's really I do I do think I do think that jealousy is mainly an internal issue and not an external issue and to get rid of The extra jealousy you don't need first one has to work on themselves and Otherwise what happens I believe is people try fixing other people and that's going to be the second part of this The next episode where I am going to talk about how we have in the culture I just finished watching a Shane Dawson video and he was talking about fixing people and something about this me with that because To fix I'll talk about I'll talk about it in another five minute podcast. All right. Thank you very much. Thanks for listening.

Have a great day
