Release Anxiety with the White Mist Exercise

from Project Joyful · host Tracy Tutty

Has there ever been a time in your life where you felt anxious, or uncertain, or just not right in yourself? It's happening a lot right now. We're dealing with a lot of uncertainty in today's world, and more and more of my patients are coming to me, and they're really struggling with being on an even keel when it comes to our mental health. Unfortunately, mental health is something that we're not yet talking about in the same way as we talk about physical health. This episode is about giving you a really quick and discreet exercise to help you manage your anxiety. If you're dealing with anxiety, please do reach out to a medical professional for some help. If you find you're having the odd anxious moment, then this exercise may be enough to support you through that process. First of all I will talk about this exercise, and then we're going to do it together. It's called the White Mist Exercise. It's a visualization or meditation. And I love it. And the reason I love it so much is because it's really quick. It's really discreet, and it's really effective. It's something you can take yourself off to the loo. Five minutes later, you're feeling in a much better, more in control space. Here's how to do The White Mist Exercise All you do is you imagine that you're breathing in a white mist. And as you breathe in that white mist, you see it circling in and around inside of your head. And then on the outbreath, you simply breathe out that white mist. And as you breathe out that white mist you feel your shoulders droop, and you feel your body go limp. Do this as many times as you need to, to get that sense of calm back again. Feel free to share this with anyone that you think might help or it might benefit. Because we all need a little calm in our lives right now.   Connect with Tracy: Instagram https://www.instagram.com/tracyctutty/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/TracyTuttyNZ/

Song Against Songs, The by G. K. Chesterton (1874 - 1936) LibriVox LibriVox volunteers bring you 9 recordings of The Song Against Songs by G. K. Chesterton. This was the Fortnightly Poetry project for October 16, 2011.Chesterton was a large man, standing 6 feet 4 inches (1.93 m) and weighing around 21 stone (130 kg; 290 lb). His girth gave rise to a famous anecdote. During World War I a lady in London asked why he was not 'out at the Front'; he replied, 'If you go round to the side, you will see that I am.' On another occasion he remarked to his friend George Bernard Shaw: "To look at you, anyone would think a famine had struck England". Shaw retorted, "To look at you, anyone would think you have caused it". P. G. Wodehouse once described a very loud crash as "a sound like Chesterton falling onto a sheet of tin."( Summary from Wikipedia ) VOICE OF... voice of idris Welcome to VOICE OF..., where impactful stories unfold.
