I had the pleasure of speaking with Mindfulness Coach, Cara Coulson. Cara was invited to Harvard to take the Koru Mindfulness program with colleagues from around the world. They were invited to see the science that Harvard has just released using the KORU program. Research is showing that Mindful based stress reduction actually helps students with exam related anxiety, sleep, relationships with others and overall post secondary marks. Mindful students make better academic students. The program also improves their commitment to other students and their community. As a result, these students tend to stay in school longer. The Koru Mindfulness Program was developed by psychiatrists, Holly B Rogers and Margaret Maytan for Duke University. The results are fascinating.
