What this episode covers

Religion is about rules. It focuses on maintaining an external image that is superficial, rather than internal transformation. It makes much of human preferences and exalts them over the laws of God. Religion claims to help people know God, but it actually hinders them. Religion offers false hope and not the hope of Christ. It is burdensome. And yet, Jesus' way is light. Jesus doesn’t want us to be religious. He wants us to enter into an authentic relationship with Him. In this sermon, Pastor Kirt unpacks Jesus' rebuke of religion.
