from The EDGE Student Ministry Hosted by Kingdom: A Community Church

This week at EDGE, guest speaker Josh Sonoga — a longtime friend of Pastor James Sabin who serves with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and as WVU's football chaplain — teaches from John 15 on what it actually means to "remain" in Jesus. Using Christ's picture of the vine, the branches, and the Father as the gardener; Josh shows our students that staying connected through prayer, Scripture, worship, and real community is the only way a life produces fruit, because a branch cut off from the vine can't produce anything on its own. He also talks openly about pruning — how the things God cuts out of our lives sting for a moment but always lead to better growth — and shares candidly from his own past that God has since redeemed. The night closes with two questions worth sitting with: what are you connected to, and what is your life producing? For more information on EDGE Student Ministries, please visit www.edgestudents.org.
