TRANSCRIPT: Announcer: Greetings. Announcer: Donna J Jodhan, l a and MBA invites you to listen to her biweekly podcast, Remarkable World Commentary. Here, Donna shares some of her innermost thoughts, insights, perspectives, and more with her listeners. Donna focuses on topics that directly affect the future of kids, especially kids with disabilities. Donna is a blind advocate, author, sight loss coach, dinner mystery producer, writer, entrepreneur, law graduate, and podcast commentator. She has decades of lived experiences, knowledge, skills, and expertise in access technology and information. As someone who has been internationally recognized for her work and roles, she just wants to make things better than possible. Donna J. Jodhan: Hello there. My name is Donna Jill Jodhan. I am a blogger. I am an advocate. I am an author. A sight loss coach. A mystery writer and producer. An entrepreneur. A law graduate and a podcast commentator. In all of my roles, I have always had the ability to express my opinions freely and knowing that others would give me their feedback and their thoughts. And this is why I decided to get involved in the remarkable bi weekly world commentary. And I'd like to thank my dear friend and associate, Aaron Di Blasi, for having encouraged me to get involved. I always like to discuss what's on my mind. And for today, I want to talk to you about something that is really troubling to me, something that is really concerning, and something which I feel others need to get involved with in order to express their thoughts or comments or suggestions, and to help the new Liberal government of Canada to understand why we are so concerned. Okay, it's all about where is the Minister for Disability Issues? And since 2015, we have had a designated minister for disability issues. But now we find ourselves without a minister for disability issues. We're scratching our heads and wondering, where is the minister? Okay, where is this minister? Has this minister been forgotten? Has this minister been ignored? Has this minister been inadvertently left out of the cabinet? Our community believes that this is a gaping gap that has been created by Prime Minister Mark Carney. And we're calling on the Prime Minister to rectify this as soon as possible. Donna J. Jodhan: We believe that this is a very important issue, and I do not want to give any interpretation as to why there is no minister for disability issues. I would just like to see dialogue take place and this faux pas fixed, okay, because we are contributing members to society. The last time I checked, I pay my taxes. I am a good citizen and I always support others in what they are attempting to do, why they are attempting to do it, and what the benefits are. And I believe we need a minister for disability issues to be appointed by the Liberal government as soon as possible, so that goodwill will prevail, and so that we will continue to engage and communicate with each other, that is, Canadians with disabilities and the Government of Canada. I will close with these three little quotes that I read this morning when I was doing my meditations, and I mean this to be motivators. The first is quote I have a dream, unquote, by Martin Luther King Junior. The second is ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country. President John F Kennedy on the third motivator. We will fight them on the beaches. Sir Winston Churchill. Let's use these three quotes, or I am going to use these three tiny clips to help motivate me to motivate others. I'm Donna Jodhan, thanking you for having dropped by to listen to my remarkable bi weekly world commentary. Have a great day! Announcer: Donna wants to hear from you and invites you to write to her at Donna Jodhan at gmail.com. Until next time.
