Here, Donna shares some of her innermost thoughts, insights, perspectives, and more with her listeners. Donna focuses on topics that directly affect the future of kids, especially kids with disabilities. Donna is a blind advocate, author, sight loss coach, dinner mystery producer, writer, entrepreneur, law graduate, and podcast commentator. She has decades of lived experiences, knowledge, skills, and expertise in access technology and information. As someone who has been internationally recognized for her work and roles. She just wants to make things better than possible.   Donna J. Jodhan: Hello there. My name is Donna J. Jodhan. I am an advocate, an author, blogger, sight loss coach, dinner mystery writer and producer, entrepreneur, law graduate and podcast commentator. I am extremely privileged and very humbled to tell you that each of these roles has enabled me to become more comfortable at sharing my bi weekly World Commentary podcast with you. It is titled remarkable BI Weekly World Commentary. And for this week, I really want to zoom in on online complaints systems. A lot of improvement has been made in online complaints systems. But there still remains a very, very common challenge. A challenge where complaint systems are not, or sometimes not very usable and sometimes not very accessible. And if we don't address this more quickly, it would become more of a chronic problem than an exception to the rule. These systems can be improved. Every single department within the Canadian government has a complaints system. Every company or every high profile company or most companies boast of online complaint systems. And I'd like to see these complaint systems improve to the point where we can use them, or we as blind and vision impaired people, persons with disabilities and seniors can use them to bring to the attention, complaints and concerns for companies and departments.   Donna J. Jodhan: It is doable. All we need to do is not just get involved in a retrofit, no build these or build accessibility and usability features into your complaints systems. Whenever you design a new one, I know that there are many systems out there that exist that people might say, well, we can't really do this or do that, but what about having a special section for accessibility complaints? I've seen it on certain websites, and I'm urging companies and government departments to do the same. Complaint systems should be looked upon as systems where we get to engage and communicate, not just complain. It's an instrument for us to collaborate more effectively with each other. So let's have or let's make a pledge to make online complaints systems more accessible and more usable. I'm Donna Jodhan, and I do thank you for dropping by to listen to my remarkable bi weekly world commentary. I will talk to you the next time. Take care and bye for now.   Podcast Commentator: Donna wants to hear from you and invites you to write to her at Donna at gmail.com. Until next time.
