She just wants to make things better than possible.   Donna Jodhan: Hello there. My name is Donna J. Jodhan and I am the host of the remarkable biweekly world Commentary. I am an author. I am an advocate, a blogger, site loss coach, dinner mystery writer and producer, entrepreneur, law graduate and podcast commentator. You know, all of these roles that I presently engage in have enabled me to become more adept at what's going on in this world today. We are living in a fast paced, moving world and we got to keep up. And for this month, you know, this is probably an old topic, but I can't help but keep returning to this topic and I call it the Death Dilemma. In early January, when Donald Trump took office. He fulfilled one of his promises. Or he kept to one of his promises to get rid of D, e, I and D stands for Disability equity and inclusion. And as I sit here, I am wondering out loud if this policy of Donald Trump is going to filter across the border into Canada. I don't know. I'm seeing a mixed bag of things thus far. I'm wondering if companies are taking note if governmental departments of the Canadian government are also taking note.   Donna Jodhan: We have our own challenges here in Canada, but it's hard to tell unless we really keep up with what is going on. Some companies may quietly be disbanding their Dei policies here in Canada, but we must be very vigilant and we need to check to make sure that they are not. We know that in the United States this is going on. Well, what's happening here in Canada? What will replace the DEA dilemma? What will replace DEA policies? I, like many others, are very anxious to know what is going to happen. And we know that Dei is tied to accessibility. So how will this affect Canada? When we saw that when Prime Minister Khan took office at the end of April, he did not appoint or appoint a minister for disability issues. Something that we continue to lobby for, something that I hope and pray that he is listening to us and will do something about it. And you know, we will go along hoping and praying, all right, that things do not filter across the border. Okay. Accessibility may be a different process, but a lot of folks tie dye to disability, so it all remains to be seen what is going to happen here in Canada.
