Remember Pearl Harbour and Her Album, Don't Follow Me, I'm Lost Too

from 13th Floor MusicTalk

Marty Duda spoke with Pearl Harbour who was in California, counting down the days until the reissue of her 1980 solo album, Don't Follow Me, I'm Lost Too, hits the streets. That day is March 22, 2024. You may remember Pearl Harbor & The Explosions, the punk/new wave outfit from San Francisco. After one well-received album, Pearl left the band, moved to London, added a U to her Surname and married Paul Simonon of The Clash.  Don't Follow Me, I'm Lost Too was the result of all that action and now you have a chance to hear this little rock-a-billy nugget years after it was mainly ignored when first released. We catch Pearl in good spirits, ready to talk about working with The Tubes, Wilko Johnson, Ian Dury, Lemmy and The Clash while being inspired by Wanda Jackson, Dolly Parton, The Ronettes and The Marvelettes.
