Remember The Cross (1 Peter) No.17- Joyful Suffering, Pt 1

Do you ever struggle with doubt about your faith in Jesus. Is heaven real? Is all this Jesus stuff legit? Is the promise of eternity w/God worthy of the sacrifices necessary for us to be a true disciple of Jesus? What if there was a way we could be reassured, even in moments of doubt, that our Jesus is reliable? What if that assurance was tied to real suffering, not suffering because of our sin, but suffering tied to Jesus? What if struggling with doubt is directly tied to how we handle suffering? When you hear “rejoice in suffering”, does it sound ridiculous? super spiritual? Great idea, but humanly impractical? Which would you prefer? Earthly comfort but severs doubt, or suffering w/assurance God is reliable? Would you be willing to suffer, as a Christian in exchange for being confident, assured, when doubt creeps in? Would you be willing to endure suffering that would verify this following Jesus daily stuff is worth it? Have any of you ever really suffered because of Jesus? If you did, how confident are you in how you would handle it?
