Remember The Cross (1Peter) No.8- The New Priesthood

Would you say you are an important part of God’s spiritual house, an important part of your church family? What I mean is, are you filling an important role as an intermediary, a conduit for God’s love to others? A conduit for God’s love to one another, and to those outside of our church family? How can we avoid becoming freeloaders in God’s spiritual house? Mostly receiving as opposed to serving? American churches are filled w/people like this. Jesus is nothing more than a path to forgiveness, eternal life. Those who have received forgiveness have also been called to be intermediaries of His love & mercy to others. Peter calls it a “royal priesthood”, a nation of people relentless in their service to God on behalf of those around us.
