This is my go-to Christmas game, it's a masterpiece, and in a lot of ways it's superior to Mario's SNES work. You all know how this game works. You play as Donkey and Diddy Kong, you're trying to get your bananas back, and you jump in a lot of barrels. The platforming in DKC is superb, the music is fire, and the level variety keeps the game fresh the whole way through. And the graphics? Get outta here...Captain N of the Retrotopia podcast joins me this week and we had a great time talking a great game. I don't know how anyone with a soul could not love this game, and aside from a couple minor gripes, we spent most of our hour together about just how special of game this is.And before we get stuck in barrels, I put together another edition of the Infamous Intro! This week someone brings up a promise I made re: Ecco the Dolphin, we talk about the must-play PS5 titles for anyone getting a system for Christmas this year, and if 'Blank Man' was a robot master, what would he be all about?Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features 3 retro titles developed by Rare: Blast Corps, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs, and Killer Instinct.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
