Remember This: God’s Unfailing Love

from His People Gabs East · host His People Gabs-East

In the first episode of our new series ‘Remember This’ we look at God’s faithfulness, we look at the intentional and unfailing love God has for His people as illustrated in Malachi 1:1-5. Set during a time when Israel had returned from exile, rebuilt the temple, and restored their land, the people find themselves feeling underwhelmed, questioning if God’s promises and glory had truly returned with them. Malachi, as God’s messenger, steps in to remind them of God’s foundational message: “I have loved you.” We reflect on how God uses a “sandwich method” of love, correction, and promise to convey His message, starting with love, addressing dishonor, and ultimately affirming His unchanging character. God addresses Israel’s doubts and reminds them of His enduring commitment, even when they feel forgotten or undeserving. This episode reveals that God’s love is not conditional or limited; it is constant and unwavering, whether we are at our best or struggling in “non-glory” days. We also see God’s direct approach in calling His people to honor Him, challenging them to trust in His love amid their disappointments and setbacks. Through this study, we’re invited to reflect on our own response to God’s heart—recognizing His love as the foundation for wholehearted devotion and honor, regardless of where life finds us. Join us as we delve into how God’s love remains a source of hope and connection, calling us back to Him. Tune in on Spotify and YouTube at HisPeopleGabEast for more inspiring sermons.
