Hello Everyone!A. Eevie Bateman invited me to join in with this conversation 10 minutes before she went live and I’m so happy I did. Ericka Kopp for VA-01 is one of the candidates that I’ve gotten to know the best in this election cycle. She’s absolutely wonderful and she always leads with integrity. It has been such a relief to get to meet her and the other wonderful candidates it has been my privilege to interview.I started interviewing candidates after meeting Wisconsin Congressional candidate Laura Benjamin at the cultural fair in Eau Claire Wisconsin. I saw that she was out campaigning and went up to introduce myself. She eventually suspended her campaign, but that connection helped me develop the confidence to reach out to even more candidates.Since then I’ve worked hard to encourage my other creator friends to do the same. Will Fullwood has joined me for candidate interviews, as has Ben Ulansey, SugarRhi~ , Natasha K., Frederic Poag, The Halfway Cafe, Melissa Corrigan, she/her and more. Every time I see one of these creators interviewing a candidate on a live, it’s like a burden is lifted.Eevie and Ericka were so nice to me during this talk and I’m so proud to have gotten to know them and to see all the work they do. Honestly, it felt like we wouldn’t ever get through the primaries (and there are still a lot coming). It’s kind of bittersweet to have this campaign end, but we’ve learned so much. No matter how it turns out, there are more elections yet to come and my relationship with all these candidates and creators is unwavering.We’re going to put these people in office! I’m so proud to be able to support them! Isn’t it great to have candidates that make us feel like that? Joy makes us powerful!
