Remembered by Name: Faithful Record Keepers (Nehemiah 7)

In today's study from Nehemiah 7, we move beyond the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls to the restoration of God's people. This chapter records a long list of names a genealogy that may seem ordinary at first glance, but it reveals a powerful truth: God remembers His people. These names represent men and women who obeyed the Lord, returned from exile, and committed themselves to rebuilding Jerusalem and restoring worship. Their work may not have been spectacular or public, yet God saw it, recorded it, and preserved it for generations. In Christ, we see the fullness of this truth. Just as Nehemiah counted the faithful remnant, Jesus gathers His redeemed and writes their names in the Book of Life.
