Remembering Alfie Evans and Why State Controlled Welfare is EvilOn the anniversary of April 28, 2018, we were tragically reminded why we can never let the false promises of 'medicare for all' be implemented in the United States. In Liverpool, England a 23-month-old boy named Alfie Evans was forcibly taken off life support by the government, against the wishes of his parents. Alfie suffered from an undiagnosed condition and British doctors claimed he was terminally ill. The parents wanted to continue searching for treatment elsewhere, and European nations like Italy even granted him citizenship so he could continue treatment there. But the British welfare state had already sentenced him to death, and they would not change their mind. So Alfie died. That's what happens in countries where medical care is controlled and rationed by the government.
