Remembering Don Szabo - FNRad S11E13

Send us Fan MailDon Szabo's passing last week sucked. He was a pillar of joyous excitement in the action sports world. Don started his career as professional skateboarder and fell in love with snowboarding in Southern California. His pro model on Nectar snowboards out of San Diego was one of the very first pro models in snowboarding. His pro model on Lamar (all 4 of them) were among the best selling boards of the era. Double O Szabo were skits in the Creatures of Habit series of movies and are hilarious. Don's sense of humour shone through his public persona. When his wife and mother died Don was there to hold their hands and care for them. In the ten years since his wife died he travelled and mountain biked and cared for his two daughters, mostly with a smile on his face.
