Remembering Hieromartyr Benjamin, Metropolitan of Petrograd

Today we remember Hieromartyr Benjamin, Metropolitan of Petrograd and Gdovsk, who lived through difficult times in Russia during the early 20th century. He focused on caring for his people and his Church amid political turmoil and persecution. Metropolitan Benjamin faced the confiscation of Church treasures by the Communist government, choosing to cooperate to help feed the starving population. Despite his efforts for peace and charity, he was arrested, tried, and executed along with others who stood with him.Support the show
